ACTION Centurian Cushion

The Action Centurian is a pressure and shear-reducing wheelchair cushion from Action Products, built for active users at low-to-moderate risk of skin breakdown who want a light, low-maintenance option. Its core combines a 5/8-inch layer of Akton viscoelastic polymer with a 5/8-inch layer of foam, sealed together within a waterproof film for incontinence protection, giving an overall cushion thickness of roughly 1-3/8 inches. The Akton polymer layer flows to conform around the pelvis and thighs, helping to redistribute pressure and reduce shear and friction against the skin, while the foam layer beneath provides a stable, supportive base and keeps overall weight down. Because it uses a solid gel-polymer rather than an air or fluid bladder, the Centurian never needs pumping, kneading, or inflation, and it will not leak or bottom out with normal use, making it a genuinely low-maintenance choice for daily users. A built-in carry handle makes it easy to move between wheelchairs or take along when travelling. The cushion is hypoallergenic and free of latex, silicone, and plasticizers, an important consideration for users with sensitivities. It is available with either a breathable Economy cover for everyday use or an Incontinent cover for added fluid protection, and replacement covers can be purchased separately as they wear out or need replacing.
