ACTION Professional Cushion

The Action Professional is a higher-specification pressure relief cushion from Action Products, purpose-built for users at elevated risk of skin breakdown or with an existing history of pressure ulcers. It features a full 1-5/8 inch thickness of Akton viscoelastic polymer, giving substantially deeper immersion than the Commuter or Centurian models in the same range, and delivering an additional 50% of cushioning against pressure, shear, and vibration compared to standard foam-only options. This extra depth of gel-polymer is particularly valuable for active power wheelchair users concerned about bottoming out over time, as the Akton layer resists compression fatigue far better than conventional foam and does not retain heat in the way insulating foam can. As with other cushions in the Action range, it requires no pumping, inflation, or daily adjustment and will not leak, making it low-maintenance for long-term daily use. The Professional is available across a wide range of sizes, including 16x16, 16x18, 18x16, 18x18, 18x20, and 20x18 inches, and can accommodate bariatric users up to a substantial weight limit, provided an appropriately sized cushion is selected. It comes standard with a Basic Cover, with Incontinent and replacement covers available separately for added protection or as replacements over the product's service life.
