Aluminium Mobile Shower Commode

The Aluminium Mobile Shower Commode is a wheeled shower and toileting chair designed to help people with reduced mobility bathe and use the toilet safely and comfortably. Built on a lightweight yet corrosion-resistant aluminium frame, it is specifically suited to constant exposure to water without the rusting issues that steel-framed equipment can develop over time, making it a durable choice for daily use in bathrooms and shower rooms in homes, hospitals and aged care facilities. The chair typically features a padded, contoured seat with a hygiene cut-out and a removable pan or direct-to-commode positioning, allowing it to be wheeled directly over a toilet or used independently with a collection pan for in-room use. Smooth-rolling castors, generally with locking brakes, allow a carer to safely wheel the user from bedroom to bathroom and position the chair precisely, reducing the number of manual transfers required during a bathing or toileting routine. Armrests and a supportive backrest provide stability while seated, and many models include footrests to support the legs during transport. Because the frame, wheels and fittings are all designed to tolerate a wet environment, the whole chair can be hosed down or wiped clean after use, supporting good infection control in shared care settings. This type of commode is commonly recommended by occupational therapists for users who need assistance with bathing and toileting but want to retain as much independence and dignity as possible during personal care routines.
