Aquatec Ocean Dual

The Aquatec Ocean Dual is a premium tilt-and-recline mobile shower and toilet commode chair from Invacare's Aquatec range, designed for users with more complex postural or transfer needs who require both tilt-in-space and independent backrest recline. The seat can be tilted between 0 and 35 degrees, and remains particularly stable even at this maximum tilt angle thanks to its wide wheelbase and built-in anti-tip design, giving carers confidence when repositioning users with limited trunk control. Two stainless steel gas springs allow the backrest to recline independently of the tilt function, from roughly 10 to 50 degrees, so users can be positioned for comfortable rest, pressure relief or easier personal care access without needing to alter the whole seat angle. The height-adjustable stainless steel frame, rated to a maximum user weight of around 150kg, allows the chair to be set for safe hoist or slide-board transfers as well as direct use over a standard toilet, while its sealed bearings and corrosion-resistant construction are built to withstand constant exposure to water and cleaning chemicals in wet-room environments. Swing-away, height-adjustable armrests and footrests support easier transfers, and the ergonomic, contoured seat with hygiene cut-out improves comfort during extended use. With an overall unit weight of around 28kg, it remains manoeuvrable for carers despite its heavy-duty capability, making it well suited to hospitals, aged care facilities and home care for users with significant postural support needs.
