Aquatec Ocean Ergo Transit Commode

The Aquatec Ocean Ergo Transit Commode, part of Invacare's Aquatec Ocean Ergo range, is an entry-level attendant-propelled mobile shower and toilet commode designed with user comfort and independence in mind. Its height-adjustable stainless steel frame resists corrosion in constant wet-room use, while the ergonomic plastic seat features a rearward slope and hygiene cut-out to improve comfort and support safe positioning during showering or toileting. Flip-up armrests and swing-away, height-adjustable footrests make transfers in and out of the chair easier for both the user and their carer, and lockable castors keep the chair firmly in place once positioned, whether parked over a toilet or in a shower recess. The tension-adjustable backrest uses quick-release buckles so carers can loosen or tighten the backrest tension for individual comfort and remove it entirely for straightforward cleaning between uses, an important hygiene feature in shared bathroom environments. With an unloaded unit weight of around 17kg and a rated safe working load of 150kg, it strikes a good balance between manoeuvrability for carers and capacity for a broad range of users. Its compact footprint is designed to fit comfortably within standard residential bathrooms, making it a practical choice for home care as well as hospital and aged care settings where an economical, attendant-propelled shower commode is needed for users who require assistance with bathing and toileting mobility.
