Carina 350

The Carina 350 is a compact mobile patient hoist rated to a 165kg safe working load, built for facilities needing a manoeuvrable lifter that can reach into tight spaces around beds, bathrooms, and furniture. It is available in four configuration variants — with either manual or electric base widening, and in a choice of standard-height or low-leg configurations — allowing it to be matched to different care environments, including situations that require access under very low beds. The hoist uses a standard-width 450mm sling bar suited to most users and general lifting situations, and rolls on maintenance-free 100mm castors fitted with bumpers to protect walls, furniture, and skirting during manoeuvring. Its relatively narrow, compact base geometry is designed to let the hoist fit into and reach areas that bulkier hoists cannot, making it a practical choice for smaller bedrooms or bathrooms in home care settings as well as institutional use. As with all mobile hoists, the specific sling and yoke used with the Carina 350 must be rated to at least its 165kg working load, and the correct base-width variant should be selected based on the spaces the hoist will need to access. Caregivers should be trained on the specific leg-widening mechanism (manual or electric) fitted to the model in use before operating it.
