Clax Cart

The Clax Cart is a lightweight, two-tier folding utility trolley designed to support day-to-day patient care tasks in hospitals, nursing homes, and home care settings where equipment, linen, or supplies need to be moved efficiently between rooms. It features an ergonomic handle with a simple push-button folding mechanism, allowing the whole trolley to collapse flat for compact storage in a linen cupboard, vehicle boot, or utility room when not in use, and to be set back up again in seconds. A foot-operated wheel brake keeps the cart stationary while loading or unloading, which is a useful safety feature in busy corridors or care environments. The trolley includes one removable, collapsible crate along with a lift-up tray, giving caregivers flexible storage options for smaller items, folded linen, toiletries, or consumables during rounds. With an assembled footprint of approximately 890mm x 550mm and a total weight of around 7kg, it is easy for a single caregiver to manoeuvre, carry when folded, or store in tight utility spaces. The upper tray is rated to approximately 20kg and the lower tray to approximately 40kg, giving a combined carrying capacity suited to general care-task loads rather than heavy equipment. It is a general-purpose care accessory rather than a piece of lifting equipment, intended to reduce the number of trips caregivers need to make while attending to patients.
