Forte 320 Bariatric Hoist - Twin 75mm Castor

The Forte 320 Bariatric Hoist is an extremely heavy-duty mobile patient lifting hoist purpose-built for bariatric care, carrying a substantial 320kg safe working load while remaining a compact, ergonomically designed unit. This twin 75mm castor configuration uses four low-profile twin-wheel castors that split and evenly distribute the patient's weight across the base, making the loaded hoist noticeably easier to steer and manoeuvre than a heavier unit riding on fewer, larger wheels — an important consideration when moving a bariatric patient safely through doorways and around furniture. The base extends from a closed external width of 715mm to an open width of 1200mm (600mm to 1080mm internally) via electric base widening, over a 1420mm base length, giving the stability needed for higher-capacity lifts. Its boom reaches a maximum yoke height of 1940mm with an overall raised height of 2243mm, and offers a maximum hoist reach of 810mm, while a low 111mm under-bed clearance and 15mm under-base height allow it to access most standard beds. Despite its heavy-duty rating, the chassis weighs 37kg with a total lifter weight of around 63kg, and the unit folds down to a minimum storage height of 1445mm. The Forte 320 is designed to work with bariatric-rated yokes and slings, including 4-point yoke and integrated weigh scale attachments, and should be operated only by trained staff with the full lifting chain rated to at least 320kg.
