Hi-Lift Yoke

The Hi-Lift Yoke is a standard spreader-bar attachment used on compatible mobile patient hoists, including Sonata Manual Leg Spread, Sonata Electric Leg Spread, and Alto model hoists, to connect a sling to the hoist's lifting boom. It is finished with a secure, press-fit self-skinning polyurethane cover, which provides a smooth, durable surface that protects both the sling material and the patient from contact with a bare metal frame during the lift. The yoke provides two sling attachment points at each end, making it well suited to slings that use loop-style fittings, such as general purpose slings used for everyday transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair. As a standard-duty yoke rather than a bariatric or 4-point design, it is intended for the general run of day-to-day patient lifting scenarios rather than higher-capacity or specialised transfers, where a bariatric yoke or 4-point yoke would be the more appropriate attachment. Because the yoke connects directly into the safe working load chain of the hoist, its own rating and the rating of the sling being used must both be checked against the hoist's safe working load before use. As with all hoist attachments, the cover and attachment points should be inspected regularly for cracking, wear, or damage, and the yoke should only be fitted and used by trained caregiving staff.
