In-Situ Long Seat Slings

The In-Situ Long Seat Sling is a full-body hoist sling with an integral head support and a padded roll along the leg edge for additional comfort during lifting, rated to a 220kg safe working load. It is designed to be applied while the patient is already seated or lying (hence 'in-situ'), with an open leg-section design that positions the legs in a hammock-style hold rather than dividing them individually, which allows for a quicker fit when a divided-leg sling isn't necessary or practical. Because the pick-up position with this style is more open than a fully divided-leg sling, a slightly reclined transfer angle is generally recommended, and adding a chest or waist support strap should be considered for users who need extra postural stability during the lift. The sling is manufactured in a choice of fabrics — including Parasilk, Superfine, and Superfine PLUS — allowing selection based on the user's skin sensitivity, need for breathability, or bathing/hydrotherapy use, and is available across a full size range from XXS through to XXL to suit different body types. As a general purpose full-body sling style, it is well suited to routine transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair for users who do not require the additional leg separation of a straight-leg or divided-leg design.
