In-Situ Straight Leg Slings

The In-Situ Straight Leg Sling is a full-body patient transfer sling rated to a 220kg safe working load, designed to be fitted while the patient is already seated or lying in place. It features an integral head support with removable support bones, giving therapists the option to add or remove rigid head-support structure depending on the individual's needs, and a cocooning shape that is easy to apply directly around the patient without needing to roll or reposition them extensively first. The leg section is divided, with low-friction fabric used across the leg panels to make positioning smoother and more comfortable, and detachable tape fastenings allow for a more tailored, secure fit while the sling is applied in-situ. The design can also be ordered with additional chest and waist support straps for users who need extra postural stability during transfer. It is manufactured in a choice of fabrics — Parasilk, Superfine, and Superfine PLUS — to suit different skin sensitivities, bathing needs, or personal preference, and is available across a full size range from XXS to XXL. This sling style is well suited to general hoist transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair for users who benefit from a divided-leg design for greater stability and pressure distribution compared to a hammock-style long seat sling.
