ISA XPlus

The ISA XPlus is a bariatric-capable stand-assist hoist that extends the ISA range's sit-to-stand support up to a 200kg safe working load, intended for larger users who retain some ability to weight-bear and actively participate in standing but need extra support and safety during the movement. Its TelescoLift extendable lifting arm can be set to nine different length positions, allowing the hoist to be tailored to a wide range of user heights and body proportions rather than relying on a single fixed reach, with an overall lifting range of 505–675mm to suit different starting positions from a chair, bed, wheelchair, or commode. Ergonomic hand grips are shaped to fit the natural curve of the hand and wrist for a more comfortable and secure hold during the standing motion, while a large, non-slip foot pedal accommodates any shoe type and a hand lever allows caregivers to widen the base manually to suit the transfer situation. A padded leg band accessory is available to add extra comfort and security for the user's lower legs during the lift. Like other units in the ISA range, it can be dismantled without tools for storage or transport. Because stand-assist hoists depend on active user participation, the ISA XPlus should only be used with individuals assessed as having adequate trunk control and weight-bearing ability, as part of a documented moving-and-handling plan.
