Jay Fusion

The JAY Fusion, by Sunrise Medical, is an adjustable skin-protection cushion that lets clinicians tailor its internal insert to the individual user's clinical needs, with a choice of JAY Flow fluid, CryoFluid, or JAY Air insert options fitted into a multi-layered, contoured foam base. This flexibility means the same cushion platform can be configured for different levels or types of pressure management as a user's needs change, rather than requiring a completely different cushion. The foam base uses specially coated anti-wicking seam thread to stop moisture from tracking through stitch holes and soaking into the foam, helping preserve the cushion's supportive properties over time. Its inner cover is made from stretch Lycra that conforms closely to the contoured shape beneath it, and the outer cover's rear edge waterfalls over the back of the cushion, a design detail specifically intended to avoid creating a seam hotspot that could otherwise become a pressure point; the outer cover is easily removed and machine washable for practical day-to-day care. The width of the Fusion's pelvic loading area is based on average pelvic bone measurements for each cushion size, giving good forward and lateral pelvic stability out of the box, while optional accessories such as lateral pelvic supports, thigh supports, and anti-thrust modifications allow further customisation.
