Standard Shower Chair

The Standard Shower Chair is a height-adjustable seat with a contoured, moulded plastic seat and full backrest, built on a powder-coated steel frame that has been electrophoretically treated to resist rust in the constantly wet shower environment. It gives users a stable place to sit throughout a shower instead of standing on a slippery surface, substantially reducing fall risk for people with balance issues, low stamina, chronic pain conditions, or those recovering from surgery. The overall height adjusts from roughly 77.5 to 90cm and the seat height itself from about 41 to 53.5cm, allowing it to be tailored to the individual user or a specific shower recess. The seat measures approximately 44cm wide by 40.5cm deep, with 49cm between the armrests and a 35cm backrest that provides genuine trunk and lower-back support rather than just a perching surface. Ergonomically angled armrests assist with the transfer into and out of the chair, and drainage slots in the seat let water pass through rather than pooling underneath the user. At only 3.7kg the chair is light enough for a carer to lift and reposition easily, while still supporting users up to 125kg.
